| Описание | Palazzo Cavalli Franchetti, the Institute’s new premises intended for the promotion of cultural activities, is at the foot of the Accademia bridge on the Santo Stefano side and faces onto the Grand Canal. Access to the Palazzo is via the water entrance on the Grand Canal or through the main entrance in Campo Santo Stefano. The Palazzo covers a total area of 4450 square metres and consists of areas for meetings and conferences (900 m2), exhibition areas (450 m2) and a large garden (1500 m2). Comprehensive plant has been installed in the building to provide central heating and air conditioning of the rooms, especially the exhibition areas. The rooms equipped for conferences, the Sala del Portego, the Sala del Giardino and the Upper Room, can be connected for video conferences thanks to a modern wiring system. Moveable equipment allows the event to be viewed in every room. The sophisticated technical equipment in the building allows the organisation of events in which up to 75 speakers can take part at the same time and with simultaneous interpreting services. The Sala del Portego can also be expanded with additional prestige rooms for a more successful outcome of the event. |
